Tour of Emmeloord, Ens and Kraggenburg

The Voorsterbos stretches between the villages of Vollenhove, Ens, Markenesse and Kraggenburg. Although it is one of the oldest forests in Flevoland and looks old, it is still relatively young: the forest was planted in 1944. Part of the Voorsterbos is the Wendelerbos, where a swampy landscape predominates. Due to the variation in nature, in which you will find beautiful plants such as crab shear, many animals find their way to the Voorsterbos. The pine marten, for example, and also the otter, which has been released in National Park Weerribben-Wieden. In autumn, hundreds of types of mushrooms grow in the Mushroom Reserve on the Leemringveld.
