Tour Borne, Hellecaterveld and Castle Grotenhuis

Your route starts at SMIKKEL Pannenkoekenhuis. South of Hertme you will pass Kasteel Grotenhuis, an originally fifteenth-century farm that was once used as a manor house. In Borne you can see the unique knock houses at the Koppelsbrink 32-34. They date from 1786. Lovely streams splashing through a green sea of trees: the Hellecaterveld is a beautiful area to cycle through. The picturesque town of Borne will also surprise you. The history of the town goes back to 1206, when it is first mentioned on an official deed. Borne's name was then Burgunde. At the beautiful old Delden you cycle across the beautiful Landgoed Twickel. Beautiful oak forests and avenues line the way to one of the most beautiful castles in the Netherlands.
