Your route starts at the Borghuis Garden Centre and Restaurant. South of Hertme you will pass Grotenhuis Castle, a 15th-century farm that was once used as a manor house. In Borne you will see the unique 'klopjes' houses at Koppelsbrink 32-34. They date from 1786. Lovely streams, babbling through a green sea of trees: the Hellecaterveld is a beautiful area to cycle through. The picturesque town of Borne will also surprise you. The history of the town goes back to 1206, when it was first mentioned on an official deed. The name of Borne was then Burgunde. At the beautiful old Delden you cycle over the beautiful Twickel Estate. Beautiful oak forests and avenues line the road to one of the most beautiful castles in the Netherlands.
