Swing around through the Maashorst

Your cycling route starts at De Pastorie in Zeeland. From here you can cycle straight into the Maashorst, one of the largest contiguous nature reserves in North Brabant. Here you cycle through a varied natural and cultural landscape of forests, heaths, drifting dunes, fens, meadows and winding streams. You also drive through Nistelrode, a beautiful authentic village. For example, you can see the former monumental town hall from 1938 here. In the middle of the Maashorst you can then visit the Slabroek Nature Center to learn more about this unique landscape park in a monumental farm. The core of the area is formed by the Schaijkse Heide, a dry heathland that was planted with coniferous forest in the 1930s. Forest areas such as Slabroek are in line with this. You will also find an open agricultural area, without main paved roads.
