Description
On the Wierdense Veld you will find heathlands and raised bogs. And an almost un-Dutch silence. Take a seat on a bench to enjoy this special area. You may see the flock of sheep passing by that grazes here. You will discover even more nature today. For example, you will cycle a bit through the Notterveld, a coulisse landscape of fields, meadows and forest. The natural beauty also dominates in the Reggedal. Further on you will come through the adjacent Wierden, a beautiful and pleasant village. Then you cycle to the old center of the textile city of Almelo. You can admire many old buildings here, such as the villas of former textile barons. The Grote Kerk originally dates from 1493 and is therefore the oldest piece of building in Almelo.
