Tour of Wierdense Veld, Almelo and Reggedal

Your route starts at Gasterij Het Middenplein. On the Wierdense Veld you will find heathlands and raised bogs. And an almost un-Dutch silence. Grab a bench to enjoy this special area. You may see the flock of sheep passing by that graze here. You will discover even more nature today. You drive a bit through the Notterveld, a scenic landscape of fields, meadows and forest. Natural beauty also predominates in the Reggedal. Further on you pass through the neighboring Wierden, a beautiful and pleasant village. Then you cycle to the old center of the textile city of Almelo. You can admire many old buildings here, such as the villas of former textile barons. The Grote Kerk originally dates from 1493, making it the oldest piece of building in Almelo.
