Description
The route starts with a cup of coffee at Landhuishotel and Bistro Herikerberg. At the start of the route you pass through the protected villagescape of Stokkum: here you will not see old castles, but farms. Near Diepenheim you can visit Warmelo Castle Garden. The history of Nijenhuis Castle goes back to the fourteenth century. On the Molenbeek you pass the twelfth-century Den Haller. This is probably the oldest existing watermill in the Netherlands. In the scenic landscape you pass Wegdam Castle and Weldam Castle. Then you drive to Goor. Here you can view the centuries-old Hofkerk. You will also pass the Braakmolen, a flour mill from 1856. In the area surrounding Diepenheim you will cycle past a number of beautiful old country houses. The route ends at Landhuishotel and Bistro Herikerberg.
