Description
Cycling is wonderful in the Green Heart around Zoetermeer. Immediately after boarding you drive into the Bentwoud. With over 800 hectares, this is the largest contiguous forest area in the Randstad! Via the beautiful Moerkapelle you drive to the Rottemeren. Here, water and windmills form a beautiful Dutch picture. From junction 14 you drive through the Groenzoom, an elongated and water-rich nature reserve that lies between Pijnacker and Berkel & Rodenrijs. You will pass The Extraordinary Tea Garden. Here you can get off for a refreshing and pleasant stopover. After boarding, you drive through a number of virtually contiguous nature reserves on the west side of Zoetermeer, such as the Bieslandse Bos, the Balijbos and the Buytenpark with its hills and groves. You cycle back to the Benthuizen along the Zoetermeerse Plas.
