Cycle the Maashorst route

Enjoy a coffee and something tasty at Restaurant Clemens before you get on your bike. You drive through the Herpse Bossen. At the end of the 19th century, this area was planted with Scots pine to capture drifting sand and provide mining wood. Cycling here is relaxing. You pass through Schaijk, after which you enter the Maashorst: one of the largest contiguous nature reserves in North Brabant. Here you cycle through a varied natural and cultural landscape of forests, heaths, drifting dunes, fens, meadows and winding streams. In the middle of the Maashorst you can visit the Slabroek Nature Center to learn more about this unique landscape park. The center is located in a monumental farm in the hamlet of Slabroek, in the middle of the Maashorst. You drive back to the starting point via Heesch.
