Cycle the Maashorst route

Enjoy a coffee and a treat at Restaurant Clemens before getting on your bike. You cycle through the Herpse Bossen. At the end of the 19th century, this area was planted with Scots pine to fix the drifting sand and provide mine timber. It is relaxing cycling here. You pass through Schaijk, after which you enter the Maashorst: one of the largest contiguous nature reserves in North Brabant. You cycle here in a varied natural and cultural landscape of forests, heathlands, drifting dunes, fens, meadows and winding streams. In the middle of the Maashorst you can visit the Slabroek Nature Centre to learn more about this unique landscape park. The centre is located in a monumental farm in the hamlet of Slabroek, in the middle of the Maashorst. Via Heesch you cycle back to the starting point.
