From the picturesque Leenderstrijp you can take a beautiful bike ride through some green hotspots: the Leenderbos, the Groote Heide and the Cranendonkse Bos. Now that's Brabant enjoyment!
Castle Cranendonck
At Fietscafé de Hospes you can grab a terrace before cycling into the valley of the Strijper: a stream surrounded by wet grasslands and wetlands. Then you drive a bit through the coniferous forest of De Heide. Further on are the remains of Cranendonck Castle. Through inheritance, sale and marriage, this once came into the possession of Oranje Nassau. Baron van Cranendonk is one of the many titles of King Willem Alexander.
Leenderbos
You drive through the Cranendonckse Bos, a small-scale landscape with humid forests. Further on you cycle through the connected Groote Heide and the Leenderbos. This Kempen landscape with its small height differences was created during the last ice age by deposits of sand. Heathland, fens, sand dunes, winding paths and farms: this area never gets boring. After many kilometers of natural beauty you will return to Bicycle Café de Hospes. Time for a terrace!
