From picturesque Leenderstrijp you can take a beautiful bike ride through some green hotspots: the Leenderbos, the Groote Heide and the Cranendonkse Bos. Now that's Brabant enjoyment!

Cranendonck Castle
At Fietscafé de Hospes you can sit on a terrace before cycling into the Strijper valley: a stream surrounded by wet grasslands and swamp forest. Then you drive a bit through the coniferous forest of De Heide. Further on are the remains of Cranendonck Castle. This once became the property of Oranje Nassau through inheritance, sale and marriage. Baron van Cranendonk is one of the many titles of King Willem Alexander.

Leenderbos
You drive through the Cranendonckse Bos, a small-scale landscape with moist forests. Further on you cycle through the connected Groote Heide and the Leenderbos. This Kempen landscape with its small height differences was created during the last ice age by deposits of sand. Heath, fens, drifting dunes, winding paths and farms: this area is never boring. After many kilometers of natural beauty you return to Fietscafé de Hospes. Time for a terrace!
