Description
From the picturesque Leenderstrijp you can make a beautiful bike ride through several green hotspots: the Leenderbos, the Groote Heide and the Cranendonkse Bos. Now that's enjoying Brabant!
Cranendonck Castle Then you drive a bit through the coniferous forest of De Heide. Further on are the remains of Cranendonck Castle. Through inheritance, sale and marriage, this once came into the possession of Oranje Nassau. Baron van Cranendonk is one of the many titles of King Willem Alexander.
Leenderbos You cycle through the Cranendonckse Bos, a small-scale landscape with moist forests. Further on you cycle through the connected Groote Heide and the Leenderbos. This Kempen landscape with its small differences in height was created during the last ice age by deposits of sand. Heathland, fens, drifting dunes, winding paths and farms: this area never bores.
