From picturesque Leenderstrijp you can take a beautiful bike ride through some green hotspots: the Leenderbos, the Groote Heide and the Cranendonkse Bos. That's Brabant enjoyment!
At Fietscafé de Hospes you can grab a terrace before cycling into the valley of the Strijper: a stream that is surrounded by wet grasslands and wetland forests. Then you drive a bit through the pine forest of De Heide. Further on are the remains of Cranendonck Castle. Through inheritance, sale and marriage, this once came into the property of Oranje Nassau. Baron van Cranendonk is one of the many titles of King Willem Alexander.
You drive through the Cranendonckse Bos, a small-scale landscape with moist forests. Further on you cycle through the connected Groote Heide and the Leenderbos. This Kempen landscape with its small height differences was created during the last ice age by deposits of sand. Heathland, fens, drifting dunes, winding paths and farms: this area is never boring. After many kilometers of natural beauty you will return to Fietscafé de Hospes. Time for a terrace!
