Description
Your cycling route starts at Restaurant De Nieuwe Hoef, a historic farm where you can enjoy coffee and cake, lunch or drinks every Saturday and Sunday. You immediately cycle through the Gorp en Roovert Estate, a mosaic of deciduous and coniferous forests, fields and grasslands. In the hamlet of Gorp you will see old farms and a monumental hunting lodge. At junction 50 you cross the Rovertse Leij via the Paradijsbrug. Further on you drive through the Nieuwkerk estate with some beautiful farms. You drive straight through Alphen, where you can enjoy a drink on a terrace. Then you cycle through the Chaamse Bossen. You will also discover the Bels Lijntje, the former railway line between Tilburg and Turnhout that now serves as a cycle path. At Riel you have a beautiful view of the Regte Heide with its burial mounds.
