This route takes you through Terneuzen and the polders of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. The first meters you cycle along the boulevard, you have a beautiful view over the Western Scheldt. You then cycle through the park that lies along the Otheensche Kreek. From the village of Spui you drive on a low-traffic road to Schapenbout, further on you pass through Sas van Gent. Here you can see, among other things, the Walmolen, a former corn mill that stood on the former city bastion. You make a shortcut through the Meetjesland in Belgium, where you drive along the Gezusterscreken. Finally, you cycle through the Braakmanpolder. This former estuary has been a nature reserve since 1952 with a dammed creek, flowery meadows and deciduous forests. The route ends with a delicious meal at Gasterij de Thuishaven.

Gasterij de Thuishaven in Terneuzen is widely known for its delicious coffee. It is not for nothing that you will find them in the National Coffee Top 100 of Misset Horeca! Ideal to settle down for a nice cup of coffee during a bike ride or a walk. You can also go here for lunch or dinner. The dishes on the menu are largely inspired by Flemish cuisine and fresh fish is of course also included. In the summer it is nice to sit on the terrace, when it is a bit cooler, you are wonderfully cozy inside.

On the former stronghold Generality you will find the hull of the Walmolen. This mill was built in the second quarter of the 19th century. A network of corridors from the 17th century was found under the mill.
