Description

With this walk you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Wijnandsrade. First you walk through a plot with deciduous trees. On sunny days there is a beautiful game with sunbeams and shadows. You also have beautiful vistas over the undulating fields. Further on you walk past Wijnandsrade Castle, the western part of which dates back to the sixteenth century. Between the castle and the ancient Stefanuskerk you can see the thirteenth-century motte, on which the first version of the castle once stood. In the center of Wijnandsrade you will see some characteristic Limburg buildings, after which you walk back into the hills via an unpaved path. After a while you pass the Nuth, a corn mill from 1882.
