Walking from Eys through rolling Limburg

The village of Eys is located at the very tip of the Netherlands. Brasserie Eyserhof is located on the edge of this picturesque church village. After a delicious cup of fresh coffee, put on your walking shoes here. From here you can walk straight into the hilly South Limburg landscape. You arrive in Gulpen via the beautiful surroundings of Wahlwiller. The presence of plenty of water ensured the establishment of tanners, beer brewers and trout farmers here. The famous Gulpener Bierbrouwerij opened its doors in 1825. You walk further to Beertsenhoven. This neighborhood community has no more than five farms. One of them is built in half-timbered style and has a side wall covered with roof tiles. After about fifteen kilometers you arrive back at your starting point in Eys. Time to stretch your legs in the cozy brasserie.
