Description
It is wonderfully quiet cycling between Lochem and Bathmen. You start from Almen, after which you cycle along the Twenthekanaal for a while. Further on you will get to know the Gorsselse Heide. This area was used as a military training ground for decades, now you can enjoy the natural beauty at your leisure. Just past junction 29, look to the right, you will see Huis Dorth here, which dates from 1930. In Lettele it is time for a stopover. Take a seat on a pleasant terrace at Restaurant BRAS-KOER, after which you head towards Laren. You pass Huis Verwolde, further on you will pass Kasteel Ampsen. In the picturesque centre of Lochem you can take a look at the Sint Gudulakerk. At Landhotel De Hoofdige Boer it is time for a drink and a tasty snack.
