Tour of the dunes, Goedereede and Ouddorp

Your cycle route first takes you through the dunes of the Westhoofd Lighthouse from 1950. It is still active and emits 3 flashes every 15 seconds. You will see many centuries-old buildings on the harbor. The striking church tower from 1512 served as a lighthouse until the early twentieth century. Ouddorp is also a characteristic Zeeland village. You will pass, among other things, the harbor where recordings were made in 2009 for De Storm, a film about the flood disaster. Just before the end of the route you can explore the De Punt recreational area. 15 bunkers have been excavated here. A bunker walking route of 1 km has been set out along information panels that explain what the bunkers were for.
