Description
Here you will discover the Heide fan Allardseach, a sparse heathland where special plant species grow, such as the rare bell heather. These species thrive here due to the selective grazing of the Drenthe Heath Sheep. Sometimes, small-scale sod cutting is also carried out to preserve the natural environment. You will also walk through a typical Drenthe landscape of pristine green areas and a sea of open space. You will walk along the edge of the former reclamation colony of Amerika, which now consists of a few fine farmhouses.
