Round Piston Lake

Guests of Lelymare start this tour at the Beginweg. The route continues through the trees to the Piston Plasbos. This nature reserve has its roots in the reclamation of eastern Flevoland. Sand was extracted for this, so that an artificial lake was created: the Piston Lake. From 1964, forests have been planted around this lake. Here you walk through a beautiful park-like landscape. Lawns, trees and shrubs alternate. Together with the rippling water they create a unique piece of nature. A nice experience for every hiking enthusiast. In the summer months, butterflies frolic to their heart's content over the flowery fields.
