Tour of Harderwijk from Nunspeet

From the outskirts of Nunspeet you can make a beautifully varied trip. First you cycle onto the Veluwe. You drive through the Belvédèrebos, further on you cycle through the Beekhuizerzand: a gently sloping shifting sand area. Especially on sunny days, the dried-up, almost gold-colored sand landscape seems to be on another planet. Harderwijk is a former Hanseatic city. You will see a surprising number of historic buildings here, such as the fifteenth-century Grote Kerk. From the harbor you look out over the Wolderwijd. The Zuiderzee once sloshed against the quay here. The last part of the route you drive through the polder landscape along the Veluwemeer. Get a breath of fresh air and enjoy the views.
