Someren - heath route

The Somerense Heide and De Pan are cultivated areas of heath on which monocultures of conifers were planted. The Somerense Heide has also been largely reclaimed as agricultural land, with the village of Someren-Heide as the center. The De Pan landscape was also a heathland area at the beginning of the 20th century. Now you cycle through coniferous forests and see deciduous and broadleaf forests along the stream. The northern part of this cycle route is more private. Coniferous forests were created here on the eastern part of the Strabrechtse Heide in the 1930s.
