In the heart of the Land van Cuijk lies the quintessential Brabant village of Haps. Centuries ago, the Celts settled here on the sandy ridges. Many finds, such as urns, date back to a thousand years BC. Your bike ride begins in this picturesque village. The first twenty kilometers take you through the beautiful Raam Valley. The landscape alternates with rows of trees, beautiful vistas, old farmhouses, and expansive orchards. Via Velp, you arrive in Grave. This ancient fortified town on the Meuse River has managed to retain an authentic city center despite numerous sieges over the centuries. As you leave the town, you pass beautifully restored buildings and national monuments. The Meuse River winds its way to Beers.
