Walking around Haps

Your walk starts at IJs & Spijs in Haps, one of the best ice cream parlors in the Netherlands. And that in a tiny village in Brabant! In Haps you will see the neo-Gothic St. Nicholas Church from 1899. Just outside the village you walk along the Kampse Plas to the St. Anthonisloop, which you cross twice. Today's route also leads past the Hapshuis, a life-size replica of a prehistoric farm. In the 1960s, the remains of the first of this type of farms from the Iron Age (500 BC) were found in Haps, hence the name. The structure has been recreated in a natural way, without the use of a nail. The Hapshuis was built in the summer of 2020 in De Wild park.
