Walking around Haps

Your walk starts at IJs & Spijs in Haps, one of the best ice cream parlors in the Netherlands. And that in a tiny village in Brabant! In Haps you can see the neo-Gothic Sint-Nicolaaskerk from 1899. Just outside the village you walk along the Kampse Plas to the Sint Anthonisloop, which you cross twice. Today's route also leads past the Hapshuis, a life-size replica of a prehistoric farm. In the sixties, the remains of the first of this type of farms from the Iron Age (500 BC) were found in Haps, hence the name. The structure is naturally imitated, no nails are used. The Hapshuis was built in the summer of 2020 in the De Wild park.
