Tour Leeuwarden Suwald-Warten (with 2 ferries)

Note: two ferries in the route, only sail in the period May-September. Check the ferry website (de 8 van Grou) for sailing times. No good alternative possible without ferries. Nice route from the historic and cozy Center of Leeuwarden, along the Potmarge, a beautiful water and'green lung\\\' through the city, then to the countryside. Just outside Leeuwarden there is a lot of livestock farming and a nice narrow winding route around the Louwsmar polder (drained in 1848). Then through beautiful and Drenthe-like Suwald, located on a sand ridge. Many beautiful old houses and spacious. Cross with a ferry at Suwald, a catering facility with a terrace at the ferry. Then continue cycling in the direction of Earnewald, and cross Warten again with the ferry. In beautiful old center of Warten beautiful catering facility on the Water. Via Wergea and Goutum you drive back to the center of Leeuwarden. From 2014 it is also possible to drive from Warten to Leeuwarden-Zuiderburen and via Hempens-Teerns to Leeuwarden. Bike path is currently being built. Route is already on the map (from junction 69 to 70), but can therefore be driven from 2014.
