Tour of Strabrechtse Heide and Son en Breugel

From the woods near Lierop you can drive straight into the vast Strabrechtse Heide. What beautiful views you have here! In the heart of Geldrop you will see the St. Brigida Church from 1891, an impressive structure. Further away is the English landscape park of Geldrop Castle. In the Dommeldal you will pass the seventeenth-century Collse Mill, which was painted in 1884 by Vincent van Gogh. Further on is the Opwetten Watermill from 1764. In Son en Breugel you stop at Hotel & Restaurant La Sonnerie to enjoy a delicious meal in the brasserie. The second part of your route takes you through the characteristic Brabant countryside. You pass through Gerwen and Mierlo, where the old town hall from 1806 and a flour mill are located on the Dorpsstraat.
