Description

Between Sint-Oedenrode and Boxtel it is beautiful to cycle in a varied landscape. One moment you are driving through the woods, the next you have a beautiful view over the fields. There are also many sights on this route, such as some castles.

Velder estate
Just before departure you can admire the old Henkenshage Castle. The current building dates from 1875. There are several beautiful old oak trees in the freely accessible castle garden. Further on you will pass the place where Ten Houte stood until the nineteenth century: a castle of which only the farms remain. In the area around Boskant you will not only see agricultural land, but also many tree nurseries. Further on you drive through the damp forests of Landgoed Velder.

Dommelrode Castle
You pass through Kasteren and Olland, two hamlets where you see characteristic farms. In the old center of Sint-Oedenrode you can admire some monuments on the cozy Market. Further on is the beautiful St. Martin's Church. Finally, you will pass Dommelrode Castle. This sixteenth-century building now serves as a town hall.
