Between Sint-Oedenrode and Boxtel it is wonderful to cycle in a varied landscape. One moment you are driving through the woods, the next you have a beautiful view over the fields. There are also many places of interest on this route, such as a few castles.
Just before departure you can admire the old Henkenshage Castle. The current building dates from 1875. In the freely accessible castle garden are some beautiful old oaks. Further on you pass the place where Ten Houte stood until the nineteenth century: a castle of which only the farms remain. In the vicinity of Boskant you will see many tree nurseries in addition to agricultural land. Further on you drive through the moist forests of Landgoed Velder.
You can get off at Eetcafé De Oude Ketting. Enjoy a relaxing terrace before cycling back into the farmlands. You pass through Kasteren and Olland, two hamlets where you will see characteristic farms. In the old center of Sint-Oedenrode you can admire a few monuments on the lively Markt. Further on is the beautiful Saint Martin's Church. Finally, you will pass Dommelrode Castle. This sixteenth-century building now serves as a town hall.
