Description

The Schoorlse dunes are among the widest in the Netherlands and you will find the highest dune there. It is beautiful at any time of the year, but when the heather blooms in August it is extra attractive to take a walk here. The 10 km Boswachterspad North Sea walk gives a nice impression of the varied dune landscape. Halfway through the walk you can enjoy the view of the North Sea on the terrace of Paal 29.
The walk starts at the Schoorlse Duinen Outdoor Center of Staatsbosbeheer (SBB). You can choose from various routes from over 4 to 23 km. The Forest Ranger Path North Sea Walk is indicated with blue arrows. That is useful, because the range for your mobile phone is limited here. Due to the height differences and paths with loose sand, the walk is somewhat more difficult.
