Tour of Veerse Meer from beautiful Veere

Around the 22 kilometer long Veerse Meer you can enjoy picturesque villages, old mills and a beautiful view over the water. The width of the brackish water lake varies between 150 and 1500 meters and in the deepest places the lake is up to 25 meters deep. The total water surface is 2030 hectares and the lake contains thirteen islands. Shortly after the start you will first enjoy a cup of coffee at Theetuin and Boerderijcamping Plantlust. You drive through the nice old Veere to the Bicycle and Foot Ferry Veere - Kamperland, which takes you across the Veerse Meer. From here you have a beautiful view of Veere! You pass the forest on the edge of the Goudplaat, a former island. At Kortgene you cross the water again to Veere.
