Walking route Aalsmeer, Kudelstaart and flower auction

You first walk along 'de Poel', as the people of Aalsmeer call the Westeinderplassen, there is plenty of recreation and there are about 50 marinas along the banks. Yet the pike, eel and the rare European catfish swim here. Two of the two fort guards' houses and the mountain shed are still there, as is the moat. Aalsmeer is world famous thanks to the lively flower trade that developed in and around the town. A little later you walk past the flower auction, which can be visited.
