You can take a beautiful trip along the Bergsche Maas along the floodplains. You will also pass through Drongelen and Raamsdonksveer.
River delta
You drive along a leafy dike for quite some time along the Bergsche Maas. This part of the Meuse was dug by human hands at the end of the nineteenth century and at the time offered a solution to flooding in the Dutch river delta. From the dike you can get a breath of fresh air, while looking out over the rippling river water and the many pristine wet grasslands on the banks. What a beautiful landscape!
Raamsdonksveer
You drive over the Bridge at Keizersveer, which was blown up several times during the Second World War. From the bridge you have a beautiful panorama of the surroundings. In Raamsdonksveer you will see, among other things, the Ontired, a flour mill from 1890. On the edge of Raamsdonk you will pass the fourteenth-century Lambertus Church. You drive through the vast polders on car-free roads. Just before junction 2 you see the Oude Maasje flowing on the right, an old Meuse bed.
