The beautiful forests on the Sallandse Heuvelrug

The landscape of Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park was formed 200,000 years ago by glaciers from Scandinavia. Nowadays, Salland's nature consists of forests and heathland. You drive over part of the vast heathland that forms the heart of this area. You see many juniper bushes here. Then you drive into the dense forests that have been planted to prevent sand drifts. It is wonderfully fresh and quiet between the trees. You will have no trouble switching back here.
