Tour of Bergen op Zoom and Markiezaatsmeer

Your route starts at Hotel Tholen and Restaurant JuNa, on the cozy Kaaij in Tholen. First you cycle over the Oesterdam: at 10.5 kilometers it is the longest dam of the Delta Works. Here you have a beautiful view of the Oosterschelde and the Scheldt-Rhine Canal. You cross to the Westerschelde, and at Bath you can climb the dike for a view over the water. Many large ships always pass here, a beautiful sight. Further on you can visit the De Kraaijenberg visitor center at the Markiezaatsmeer. You drive back through Bergen op Zoom, a city with a rich history. Here you can still see many beautiful old buildings, such as the fourteenth-century Gevangenpoort, the oldest building in the city. Then you cycle back to Tholen.
