Ermelo, Putterbos and Leuvenumse Bos

A rolling heathland, where fens interrupt the landscape. Blowing sand areas and sandy paths. The Elspeetse Heide is a remnant of a gigantic heathland plain that stretched across this part of the Veluwe. Heath sheep are inextricably linked to this beautiful piece of nature, the animals have traditionally grazed the Elspeetse Heide. You then cycle through the Leuvenum Forests, where deciduous and coniferous trees grow. The last attraction on the route is the Staverden estate. The old watermill of Staverden is also a sight to see and to view up close. The route starts and ends at Pluktuin het Platteland, where you can enjoy a well-deserved rest after the bike ride.
