Bicycle tour along the mudflats, polder, dunes and forest

You start this route at the VVV. From the harbor area in West-Terschelling you cycle east past the Maritime Institute"Willem Barentsz\\\" to the Waddendijk. Near the"light\\\" is the sculpture group"Beelden uit Zee\\\". Here you have a fantastic view over the only natural bay in the Netherlands and the harbor of West-Terschelling. You cycle along the Wadden Sea at the bottom of the Waddendijk to the village of Striep. Here you go over the dike towards the village of Midsland. This is the second village of the island and has a pleasant village street with a variety of shops and pubs. We leave the village past the church towards Midsland aan Zee. Before restaurant d\\\' Drie Grapen turn left. This area is the old polder landscape with small plots of land and alder walls. You follow the road to the right to mushroom nr. 23057 and then turn left to West aan Zee. You are now cycling on the Midslander Longway through a unique dune area with various water slabs. At the end of this cycle path you can take the exit towards the North Sea. At the beach crossing you have a great view over the wide beach of Terschelling. You cycle back and turn right towards West Terschelling. At the next intersection, turn right to the Donkere Bos and the Groene Strand. After about 2 kilometers, this cycling tour ends again at West-Terschelling, the largest village on Terschelling and the ferry port.
