The Stakenbergerheide is one of the few places in the Netherlands where a juniper forest can be found. From Camping de Tol you cycle through the woods and over the heathland around this famous hill between Nunspeet and Elspeet immediately after departure. Via Harderwijk and Hierden you arrive at the Veluwemeer. This elongated lake was created in 1956, during the reclamation of East Flevoland. In winter - when it has frozen enough - the Veluwemeer is the backdrop for the Veluwemeer tour. At Elburg you leave the water behind and cycle through the woods around't Harde back to the campsite. After about sixty kilometers it's time to stretch your legs. Take a cooling dip in the swimming pool and enjoy something tasty on the camping terrace.
