Tour of Nunspeet, Harderwijk and Elburg

The Stakenbergerheide is one of the few places in the Netherlands where a juniper forest can be found. From Camping de Tol, immediately after departure you cycle through the woods and over the heath around this famous hill between Nunspeet and Elspeet. You arrive at the Veluwemeer via Harderwijk and Hierden. This elongated lake was created in 1956, during the reclamation of East Flevoland. In winter - when it has frozen enough - the Veluwemeer is the setting for the Veluwemeer tour. At Elburg you leave the water behind you and cycle through the woods around't Harde back to the campsite. After about sixty kilometers it is time to stretch your legs. Take a cooling dip in the pool and enjoy something tasty on the camping terrace.
