Straight through the Leuvenum forests

It is wonderfully relaxing to travel for miles on De Veluwe. This nature reserve has an area of more than 91,200 hectares. There is always something new to discover here, no matter how often you visit. You drive through the Doornspijkse Heide and Boswachterij Nunspeet, among others. Further on you cycle through Leuvenum's varied deciduous and coniferous forests. There is a lot of game here, from boars to roe deer and red deer. To keep these populations healthy, wildlife bridges have been constructed and dead wood remains. In Hulshorst you can see the beautiful octagonal tower mill De Maagd. It was built in 1894 to grind grain. In 1988 the mill was renovated and made ready for grinding again.
