Tour of Sallandse Heuvelrug, Schuilenburg and Regge

Your route starts at the foot of the Sallandse Heuvelrug, a unique National Park. First of all, the route leads past the beautiful Schuilenburg Estate with the redesigned castle grounds. Also explore the Regge River. In the National Park you will find one of the largest contiguous heathlands in Europe. You sometimes imagine yourself abroad, vast heathlands, forests, tranquility and an impressive relief. The last population of wild grouse in the Netherlands lives on the Sallandse Heuvel. Drop by the renovated entrance to the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park in Nijverdal: the Sallandse Heuvelrug Outdoor Center. You will find an information room, exhibition space, observatory, planetarium, shop and a catering facility. Hellendoorn and Holten are also nice places to take a break!
