Description
A beautiful green area with romantic forests and beautiful heathland remnants. With an enormous variety of plants, the green landscape between Effen, Rijsbergen and Strijbeek is a feast for the eyes. A wonderfully quiet area in the Brabant countryside to cycle through. Along the way you will pass vast fields, speckled with forest and heath. The starting point of this route is The Smokkelaar Burgundian Enjoyment in Strijbeek. An excellent location for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and other recreationists to have a drink or something to eat. Then it's time to get on your bike and explore the area. You will pass the Galderse Heide, which was 'returned' to nature in 2010. The area consists of heathland and is partly planted with Scots pine.
