Description
There are some beautiful nature reserves around Gilze. This route takes you through the woods between Tilburg and Breda, among other things. You will also pass through the picturesque village of Molenschot.
The Prince Forest
Around the Sint-Annakerk from 1887 you will find a special atmosphere thanks to monuments such as the presbytery from 1879 and a few farms. You then cycle through the woods to Rijen. It is mainly Scots pine trees that were planted at the beginning of the nineteenth century. It's a quiet bike ride here, a great way to loosen up your legs!
Bell Line
You drive a bit through the Blaak, a forest on the outskirts of Tilburg. Then you drive over the Bels Lijntje: a former railway route that leads you through woods and past meadows. You drive through a number of pleasant Brabant hamlets, after which you drive through the vast Prinsenbos. In Molenschot you can still see the Sint-Annakapel. The current building dates from 1842, but had a predecessor that was built in 1549.
