Description
At Hotel Herberg & Brasserie D'n Dries you can enjoy something tasty before you drive to Giersbergen. Thanks to the monumental thatched, long-gable farmhouses, you can still experience the atmosphere of a bygone era. Then you cycle through the Loonse and Drunense Duinen. In this national park you will find extensive heathlands and quiet forests. And of course the famous drifting dunes to which this area owes its nickname: the Brabant Sahara. You drive through the polders to Heusden, an old-style restored fortified town on the Maas. Take your time here to admire the many centuries-old buildings. You will also see three mills from the 1970s on the fortification wall.
