The starting point of this route is in the church village of Afferden. Today you cycle straight through the Maasduinen. The entire area once consisted of large drifting sands. To keep all that sand under control, all kinds of vegetation have been planted so that it no longer drifts. The vegetation is maintained naturally by Galloways, sheep and goats. This is not only good for nature, but it is also nice to see. Along the way you can take a break at Landgoed Bleijenbeek for a snack and a drink. Then you continue to the village of Well. Here you will find the Well Castle of the same name, a medieval complex that was built around the fourteenth century. Also a nice spot to take a break!
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
