Nunspeet, Gelderland, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 117571
Provided by: route.nl
The route starts at Camping Kostverloren, just above Nunspeet. Just after Hulshorst you will pass the Hulshorst Tea Garden, a unique place in the forest to sit down for a delicious lunch. Afterwards it is wonderfully quiet cycling on the Veluwe. You cross the Elspeetse Heide, a rolling heathland with fens and beautiful drifting sand areas. Heathland sheep are inextricably linked to this beautiful piece of nature. The Elspeetse Heide is also important from an archaeological point of view - the presence of centuries-old burial mounds and old oak coppice groves give the area special value. Rhododendrons and other beautiful plants reflect in the water, where those seeking peace and quiet come to indulge. The bushes are full of birds and if you look closely you can sometimes see the tracks of wild boars along the paths.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
