This route takes you from Lauwersoog to De Marne, a region in the north of Groningen. First you cycle your legs while you ride along the shore of the Wadden Sea. You then drive into a vast landscape of mounds, dikes and salt marshes. And beautiful farms and old churches, such as in Hornhuizen. You cycle to Kloosterburen on car-free roads. A little later you pass through Leens. In this picturesque mound village you will see some monumental retirement homes. At junction 16 you will see the tower of the twelfth-century Peter's Church, you can drive there to experience a unique historical atmosphere. Via Houwerzijl you drive to Zoutkamp, after which you cycle into Lauwersmeer National Park. The route ends at LauwersmeerPlezier!, a unique accommodation address on the edge of Lauwersoog.
