Buren, Enspijk and Geldermalsen

From the road you have beautiful views over the rippling water. You also look out over meadows and hay meadows. You cycle through Geldermalsen, after which you cross the Lingebrug, which was put into use in 1940. On the other side of the river you pass through Tricht. A little later you drive through the Heerlijkheid Mariënwaerdt, an estate that has been owned by the same family since 1734. Here you cycle through a landscape of fields, meadows, forests and avenues. You will also see many monumental buildings. In Beesd you drive through the protected village view, you can see the Sint-Pieterskerk from 1500. You grab a terrace at Camping BetuweStrand Recreatie, after which you cycle through the countryside back to the starting point.
