Description
In the western part of Zeeland lies a peninsula where you can enjoy the vastness of the province while cycling through the landscape. You can see the North Sea, the Westerschelde and the Veerse Meer. You start the cycle route at Frieterie De Bostent, on the edge of the forests above Oostkapelle. Here you can enjoy freshly baked, artisanal fries. You head to Vrouwepolder and the Veerse Meer, which is popular with water sports enthusiasts. The lake was created by damming the Veerse Gat, when the Delta Works were constructed. Via the bustling Middelburg you cycle on to Domburg. You also pass Kasteel Westhove. Everything shows that this must have once been a mighty castle. This route shows a beautiful part of Zeeland!
