Hidden Village Tour from Elspeet

Your cycle route starts with a cup of coffee at Hotel Mennorode, in the middle of the Veluwe. This nature reserve has more than 91,200 hectares, you can wander through untouched nature. You will notice that on the Vierhoutense Heide and the Elspeetse Heide. Your route also takes you past listening spot L59: The Hidden Village. Here you will hear the dramatic story about the Hidden Village: a secret hiding place that was founded in the woods in the spring of 1943. Three huts have been reconstructed, and some remains of the original huts can still be found. Further on is the Monument to the Shot Jews. In the cozy Vierhouten you can take a seat on a terrace to recover from all the impressions, before you cycle back via Elspeet.
