Hidden Village Tour from Elspeet

Your cycling route begins with a cup of coffee at Hotel Mennorode, in the heart of the Veluwe. This nature reserve covers over 91,200 hectares, offering wonderful opportunities for wandering through unspoiled nature. This is evident in the Vierhoutense Heide and Elspeet Heaths. Your route also takes you past listening point L59: The Hidden Village. Here you'll learn the dramatic story of the Hidden Village: a secret hiding place established in the woods in the spring of 1943. Three replica huts have been recreated, and some remnants of the original huts can still be found. Further on stands the Monument to the Jews Shot Dead. In the charming town of Vierhouten, you can relax on a terrace to recover from all the impressions before cycling back via Elspeet.
