In the Netherlands there is no nature reserve as famous and grand as the Veluwe. The landscapes hidden in the national park are impressive: vast grasslands and heathlands change into drifting sands or forests, including on the Vierhoutense Heide and the Elspeetse Heide. During this route you will become acquainted with this area. You start at Bicycle Rental Hazeleger, where you can rent a bicycle or have your bicycle repaired. Then you cycle on to Vaassen. Here you pass Cannenburch Castle and the Cannenburger Mill. The sixteenth-century castle was built on the remains of an earlier castle. You cycle back to Vierhouten via Elspeet.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
