Chaam and the ancient forests

The forests around Chaam have been there for centuries. Grab your bike and come and experience the silence and freshness here. In Chaam you will find some places of interest, you will also pass Koetshuis Anneville.

Anneville
First you drive through the fields. Just loosen your legs, while you immediately leave the grind of everyday life behind you. First you drive through the Ulvenhoutse Voorbos, a nature reserve that is part of the Barony of Breda. At Landgoed Anneville you can view the stately villa, which dates from the mid-nineteenth century.

Chaam Forest
You cycle at your leisure through forests and farmlands to the village of Chaam. Here you can see the Antonius Abtkerk from 1926, the sixteenth-century Ledevaertkerk and several old farms. A little later you drive through the Chaamse Bos. This was once a rough area with sand drifts and wet heathland, but between 1900 and 1935 the area was reclaimed and planted with Scots pines. What peace you experience here!
