Chaam and the old forests

The forests around Chaam have been there for centuries. Grab your bike and come experience the silence and freshness. In Chaam you will find several sights, you will also pass Koetshuis Anneville.

Anneville First you ride through the fields. Loosen your legs for a moment, while you immediately leave the daily grind behind you. First you ride through the Ulvenhoutse Voorbos, a nature reserve that is part of the Baronie van Breda. On the Anneville estate you can view the stately villa, it dates from the mid-nineteenth century.

Chaamse Bos You cycle through forests and farmlands at your leisure to the village of Chaam. Here you will see, among other things, the Antonius Abtkerk from 1926, the sixteenth-century Ledevaertkerk and several old farms. A little later you will cycle through the Chaamse Bos. This was once a rough area with sand drifts and wet heathland, but between 1900 and 1935 the area was developed and planted with Scots pines. What peace you will experience here!
