The start and end point of the route is at Van der Valk Hotel Arnhem. You can go here for a cup of coffee, lunch or dinner, but you can of course also stay overnight. Just past Otterlo you take a tour around De Hoge Veluwe National Park. Veluwezoom National Park is a nature reserve of approximately 5,000 hectares. In 1930 this became the first national park in the Netherlands. The hilly landscape consists largely of forest, heathland and sand drifts. In the hamlet of Deelen you pass L29: Deelen and Diogenes. At this listening point you will learn more about the role that the nearby airport played during WWII. During the weekend you can learn more about the nighttime air war over the Netherlands during the Second World War at the Deelen Air Base Museum.
