Tour of Galder, Rijsbergen and the Mastbos

Discover the beautiful surroundings of Galder and Rijsbergen. You then cycle straight through De Pannenhoef, a beautiful Brabant nature reserve that lies between Zundert, Etten-Leur and Rijsbergen. Because the gigantic surface of heathlands was reclaimed from the fifteenth century onwards and farms, villages and towns sprang up like mushrooms, a large part of the Brabant landscape has changed. In the twentieth century, a lot of hard work was done to restore the nature reserve and with success; several old fens were dug up again and rare plants that had disappeared due to peat extraction returned. Forest, fens and flowery meadows characterize the Pannenhoef.
