Tour of Galder, Sprundel and Rucphen

Your route starts at Lunchcafe De Grote Molen. First, you'll discover Sprundel and the Vloeiweide, a nature reserve you'll cycle right through. It originated from a former agricultural irrigation system. You'll also cycle straight through De Pannenhoef, a beautiful Brabant nature reserve located between Zundert, Etten-Leur, and Rijsbergen. Because the vast expanse of heathland was reclaimed from the fifteenth century onwards, and farms, villages, and towns sprang up like mushrooms, much of Brabant's landscape has changed. In the twentieth century, much of the Brabant landscape was restored, and with success; several old fens were dug up, and rare plants that had disappeared due to peat extraction returned. Woods, fens, and flower-filled meadows characterize De Pannenhoef.
