National Landscape Tour of Northeast Twente from Denekamp

Your route starts at Pannenkoekenhuis Bolle Jan. You cycle through the Northeast Twente National Park, one of the twenty National Landscapes. The beautiful Singraven estate is located in the area, dominated by a manor and old water mill. The estate also contains a coach house from 1868 and a number of tenant farms. The estate first appears in the annals in 1381 and the first house on the estate was built in 1415. The Singraven watermill consists of three water wheels with several mills: an oil mill that currently houses a restaurant, a flour mill and a sawmill. The mills are powered by the water that flows through the Dinkel and the first mill, the oil mill, was built in 1448.
