Tour of the National Landscape Northeast Twente from Denekamp

Your route starts at Restaurant Bolle Jan. You cycle through the Noordoost-Twente National Park, one of the twenty National Landscapes. The beautiful Singraven estate is located in the area, which is dominated by a manor house and an old water mill. The estate also has a coach house from 1868 and a number of tenant farms. The estate first appears in the annals in 1381 and the first house on the estate was built in 1415. The Singraven water mill consists of three water wheels with several mills: an oil mill that now houses a restaurant, a corn mill and a sawmill. The mills are powered by the water that flows through the Dinkel and the first mill, the oil mill, was built in 1448.
