Description
Get on your bike and discover the surroundings of De Groote Heide. This heath, also called Leenderheide, is a vast, dry heathland. From the parking lot you cycle to the Venbergsemolen, a watermill located on the Dommel. On the route you will also come across the windmill Sint Antonius Abt, which has been in Borkel en Schaft since 1865. During the Second World War, part of the mill was used as a field hospital, but after the war the mill was fully deployed to fulfill its old function.
